We take the health, safety and welfare of our people, our customers and the public extremely seriously. We give them a very high level of management attention, time and resources. We’re committed to the control and management of the health and safety risks that arise from our work activities, striving for continual improvement through long term strategies.
We’re CHAS accredited – that’s the Construction Health and Safety Assessment Scheme. This is your reassurance that we are a competent contractor in respect to health and safety responsibilities, operating to high standards.
We retain the expert services of Eastern Builders Safety Group. They assist us in health and safety matters including advising, monitoring and auditing our operations, policies and procedures.
We carry out regular, formal health and safety training at all levels – for directors, managers, all our teams and our entire supply chain. Health and safety awareness and training are also an integral part of our daily activity – for example tool box talks on site. We encourage an open attitude that encourages taking responsibility for identifying and mitigating risks.
Our accreditation to this internationally recognised environmental system means that we set standards and targets to minimise the impact of our business on the environment.
Environmental best practice
We work with our clients to explore opportunities to drive environmental best practice. This includes delivering projects using the most economical and sustainable construction methods and products, efficient design, the use of renewable energy, environmentally efficient buildings and responsible waste management.
We continually raise the environmental awareness of our people and supply chain through training, knowledge development and new initiatives. We measure and report annually on our environmental performance.
Our client’s rightly expect the very best. There’s often only one chance to get it right. And we know we’re only as good as our last job. That’s why quality matters so much – and why we work so hard to achieve it.
Our quality management system is accredited to this standard. This means we work to consistent standards, policies and procedures across all our operations. That includes asking for feedback at the end of every project to see if there’s any area where we could further improve.
Checking – and double checking
We do it at every stage of every process. Our control measures give us a robust method of making sure that everything is right first time through a sequence of quality checks.
In the end it is results that count – results that we and our clients are proud of. Whether that’s a fully functional classroom with a well thought through design … a successful refurbishment that breathes new life into an existing building … or the integration of renewable energy sources for a new generation of sustainable buildings.
