This scheme was to convert the existing basement level car park into a Conference Room Suite and to also refurbish the associated access corridor and stairwell. The project was carried out in two phases; initial demolition/ strip out and then the internal fit out.

Due to its location in Central London noisy works for breaking out the concrete had to be undertaken sensitively so that neighbours and the client were not affected. This was undertaken by careful planning by the site team and strict management controls.

All deliveries had to be carefully coordinated as space for material storage was at a premium.

Careful consideration had to be made for acoustic treatment not only between spaces but also by sound proofing of the existing soffit. Each suite was completed with a new ventilation and air conditioning system, sliding folding partitions and a new AV System. A link to the existing BMS was provided.

A kitchenette and coffee area was constructed with adjoining toilets. The area also included feature walls displaying ‘scouting’ graphics.

The suite is now being utilised for educational purposes and is considered a great asset by the Scout Association.
