The teaching block phase at Willowfield is nearing completion. Topping out within the construction sector marks a building reaching its highest level. Traditionally a leafy branch was placed on the topmost beam and a toast was drunk. We adapted this recently at Willowfield School where those present were treated to a ribbon cutting and a delicious cake prepared by Zoe, our Contracts Manager Glen’s daughter.
Rebecca the headteacher duly performed the ceremony and commented:
“I wanted to share with you our experience of working with Glen, John, Alex and their team. Our students have benefited hugely from the projects they have undertaken with them. It has been a real pleasure having Beardwell’s on site and working closely with them. We were delighted to mark this special moment for Willowfield. The expansion of the school represents an exciting step for our community and it is fantastic to see the amazing development. We are very happy to be working with Beardwell to realise the future of the school”.
